Hot coffee drinks, cigarettes and a variety of baked goods will be among the items available to purchase at “Wake Up Call,” a new business in Camas.

The drive thru espresso stop is expected to open Thursday, in the recently repaved parking lot near Angelo’s Pizza, 3151 N.W. Second Ave. Owner Robbi Rydell will treat customers to complimentary coffee and Otis Spunkmeyer cookies during the grand opening through Sunday, July 24.

In addition to coffee, there will be smoothies, muffins, bagels, soft pretzels and Umpqua “on the go” oatmeal available to purchase.

“I’ve wanted to open a coffee business for several years,” Rydell said. “I thought I would start in Camas and possibly open one in Vancouver. There will be coffee drinkers forever, regardless of the economy.

“I will sell cigarettes for commuters, so they can get coffee and cigarettes at once,” she added.

Rydell grew up in Camas and graduated from Camas High School in 1977.

Wake Up Call will be open Monday through Friday, from 6 a.m. to 7 p.m., Saturday, from 7 a.m. to 4 p.m., and Sunday, from 7 a.m. to 3 p.m. For more information, call 335-9062.
