C-W Lightning falls to state champion Hazel Dell Metro at state tournament

The Camas-Washougal Lightning Junior Babe Ruth baseball team beat Pasco 13-12 Friday to advance to bracket play in the Southwest Washington Babe Ruth state tournament, at Wheeler Field in Centralia.

The Lightning lost to Hazel Dell Metro 11-5 Saturday. On Sunday, Hazel Dell defeated Centralia to win the state championship. The victory springboards the team from Vancouver into the regional tournament in Kennewick.
