The Jack, Will and Rob Boys & Girls Club’s annual Family Halloween Night attracted several young attendees.
According to organizer Mandy Cervantes, the staff and volunteers planned games and activities for the whole family.
Some of these included bobbing for apples, cupcake decorating, caramel apple making, family bingo, ring toss, cake walk, and a haunted house.
The staff also awarded three kids for their creative costume efforts. Quentin Allen won the boys prize for his Darth Vader costume. Alayna Smith won the girls’ prize with her Hello Kitty ensemble. Haleigh Johnson, dressed as a pirate, was the overall winner.
The club employees also transformed the music room into a haunted house, equipped with scary music and frightening characters.
The club partnered with Kidz with Ice to provide cotton candy, shaved ice, popcorn and elephant ears at a discount.
The event was a kickoff for a fund-raising effort.
Over the next two months, the club will be hold various fund-raisers, including monthly overnight events, club benefit nights at restaurants and donation campaigns.
