Starting Monday, Clark County Public Works and the Vancouver-Clark Parks and Recreation AmeriCorps Team will remove about 40 Douglas fir trees near the Camas lily fields at Lacamas Lake Regional Park as part of a habitat enhancement project.

For public safety, the south side of the Camas lily fields will be closed while trees are removed. The area will reopen by Dec. 3. Downed tree trunks will be left in place to provide additional wildlife habitat. Branches will be removed and scattered throughout the surrounding forest to improve habitat.
