The local Sears Hometown Store has been named a “Premier Dealer.”

The annual honor, presented by Sears Hometown Stores, included the location in downtown Camas on a list of 139 out of 1,096 Hometown stores throughout the U.S. and Puerto Rico. The award recognizes stores that consistently offer great customer service, outstanding performance and exceptional demonstrations of community involvement, according to a press release.

The Camas location, owned by Craig and Colleen Cancilla, sponsored the 2010 Holiday Home Tour. They have also purchased 300 T-shirts to be distributed during Camas High School football games and another 300 T-shirts for CHS basketball games.

The local Sears store has also made donations to the Downtown Camas Association, the Clark County Association of Realtors, the Inter-Faith Treasure House, in Washougal and the Camas Educational Foundation.

The store sells electronics, major appliances, Craftsman tools, fitness equipment, and lawn and garden merchandise. Steve Cordova is manager of the store that opened in October 2010.
