There will be an open house for all interested parents, particularly for those parents of children in the “birth-to-3” programs moving to “3-to-5” programs in the Camas School District.

Families will meet representatives with the district’s early childhood program and receive information about transitions.

The open house will take place from 4 to 7 p.m. at Grass Valley Elementary, 3000 Grass Valley Drive.

C-W students land on PLU Dean’s List

Local students were recently named to the Pacific Lutheran University Dean’s List.

Ryan Erdwins of Washougal and Louis Lindner of Camas made the list.

The dean’s list recognizes outstanding academic achievement and requires a grade point average of at least 3.5 for the term. Dean’s List standing becomes part of a student’s official transcript and is a distinguishing factor for students going on to graduate or professional school.

PLU, with a student body of 3,500, is located in Parkland, Wash., near Tacoma.
