Renee D. Evensen

Renee Demarice Evensen died peacefully Dec. 27, 2011, at her home in Washougal. She was 54.

A celebration of Renee’s life was held Saturday at the Cape Horn American Legion Post No. 122. Brown’s Funeral Home and Cremation Services in Camas was in charge of arrangements.

Dorothy I. Farrell-Cash

Dorothy Irene Farrell-Cash died Jan. 1, 2012. She was 97.

At her request, services will be private. Interment will also be private at the Camas Cemetery. Straub’s Funeral Home & Columbia River Cremation in Camas was in charge of the arrangements.

Ralph L. Johnson

Ralph Lynden Johnson died peacefully Dec. 25, 2011, at PeaceHealth Southwest Medical Center in Vancouver.

Per Ralph’s request, there will be no service. Private interment with full military honors will be held at the Evergreen Memorial Gardens Cemetery in Vancouver. Brown’s Funeral Home and Cremation Services in Camas was in charge of arrangements.

Patrick M. O’Connor

Patrick M. O’Connor died Jan. 3, 2012, at his home in Washougal with his dogs in his lap in his favorite chair. He was 67.

Mary Elizabeth York

Mary Elizabeth York, professor emeritus, Portland State University, died peacefully Jan. 1, 2012, in Vancouver.

Memorial donations can be made to the Charcot-Marie-Tooth Association (CMTA), P.O. Box 105, Glenolden, PA 19036, www.cmtausa.org. Mary was born with CMT, a neuro-muscular disorder, whose debilitating effects robbed her of mobility but not her heart and drive.

A memorial service was held today at St. Anne’s Episcopal Church in Washougal. Straub’s Funeral Home & Columbia River Cremation in Camas was in charge of the arrangements.

Phyllis J. Romine

Phyllis Jean Romine died Dec. 16, 2011, at home, surrounded by her loving family, following a battle with cancer. She was 79.

A celebration of life party will be held Saturday, Jan. 14, from noon to 3 p.m., at American Legion Cape Horn Post No. 122, 10221 Washougal River Road.
