Bonneville Hot Springs Resort and Spa is introducing a new senior citizens swim pass.

The pass, available for $5 plus taxes, will allow area seniors to use the pool, sauna and the indoor and outdoor jetted pools Tuesdays, from 8 a.m. to 9 p.m. Participants must bring identification that prove they are 62 or older and live within a 25-mile radius of the resort.

According to Spa Manager Stacey Fernandez, the distance requirement includes residents of Camas and Washougal.

The resort is also introducing a buy one, get one free swim day on Wednesdays, from 1:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. for residents who live within a 25 mile radius.

Fernandez said the pools are filled with mineral water that is rich in sulfates and can reduce joint pain.

The pool, naturally heated at 84 degrees, is for swimming and therapy.

“Many people who regularly soak in our waters find comfort and relief from muscle soreness, joint pain and arthritis,” Fernandez said. “The stories of healing and comfort flow through our halls like the springs themselves from the ground.”

The resort is located at 1252 E. Cascade Drive, in North Bonneville. For more information, call (509) 427-9720 or visit www.bonnevilleresort.com.
