Soroptimists to serve strawberry shortcakes at New Seasons Market this weekend

Several members of Soroptimist International of Camas/Washougal plan to serve strawberry shortcakes this weekend, to help raise money for domestic violence prevention programs.

The fundraising effort will occur Saturday and Sunday, from noon to 4 p.m. The desserts will feature freshly made New Seasons Market shortcake, covered with strawberries and topped with organic whipped cream. The shortcakes will cost $4 each.

Proceeds will be divided among several domestic violence shelters, including the Bradley-Angle House, Clackamas Women and Children’s Services, Domestic Violence Resource Center, Raphael House of Portland, the Salvation Army West Women’s Shelter, the YWCA-Yolanda House and the YWCA Clark County SafeChoice Shelter.

The participating New Seasons locations include the market at Fisher’s Landing Marketplace, 2100 S.E. 164th Ave., Vancouver. For more information, call 760-5005 or visit www.newseasonsmarket.com.
