Country Financial opens office in Washougal

A Washougal resident has relocated her office from Vancouver to Washougal.

Courtney Wilkinson, a financial representative for Country Financial, said she and her husband Kurt decided almost 11 years ago to build their home in Washougal.

She has been with Country for a decade.

“When we reviewed the needs of the business in conjunction with the needs of our long-term goals as a family, it made sense to be closer to home,” Courtney said. “I want to be involved in my children’s future activities, while being able to service our existing and future clients. I want my responsibilities as a mother and my priority as a business owner to co-exist.”

In addition to being a supporter of Friends of Hospice, her community involvement includes being a member of the Washougal Lions Club and Local Connections — a business networking group.

Courtney’s production assistant, Brenda Wilkinson, is also a Washougal resident. Brenda obtained her license for property and casualty insurance in 2007 when she moved to Washington to be closer to her two children.

“With a background in law, her expertise brings a lot of value to our agency,” Courtney said.

Cindy Hammontree, a recently hired service assistant, has a background as an educator and small business owner.
