Peter T. Clarke

Peter Trevor Clarke died peacefully with his family by his side Aug. 15, 2013, at his home in Vancouver. He was 94.

A memorial service with Masonic rites was held today at Straub’s Funeral Home in Camas. Straub’s Funeral Home and Columbia River Cremation in Camas is in charge of arrangements.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made to the Southwest Washington Humane Society, 1100 N.E. 192nd Ave., Vancouver.

Linda Sue Fishel

Linda Sue Fishel died Aug. 11, 2013, at home in Washougal. She was 53.

A service was held Friday at Gateway Church in Washougal.

Sandra K. Sorweide

Sandra Kay Sorweide, beloved wife, mother and grandmother, died peacefully Aug. 7, 2013, following a courageous battle against brain cancer. She was 71.

A service was held Thursday at the Sunset Hills Memorial Park Funeral Chapel in Bellevue, Wash., followed by a graveside service at Cedar Lawn Cemetery in Redmond.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Chuck Sorweide Musical Memorial Fund, Community Bank, 904 Adams Ave., LaGrande, OR 97850, or to a local Humane Society in memory of her son Troy.

Herbert Schafer

Herbert Schafer died Aug. 18, 2013, at PeaceHealth Southwest Medical Center in Vancouver. He was 92.

Louis L. Overacker

Louis Laverne Overacker died Aug. 9, 2013, at home in Washougal with his wife by his side. He was 83.

A celebration of life service will be held Sunday, Sept. 1, from 1 to 3 p.m., at 31010 N.E. Second St., in Washougal.

Dennis M. Lund

Dennis Michael Lund died Aug. 16, 2013, at PeaceHealth Southwest Medical Center in Vancouver at the age of 57.
