Camas breaks ground on 38th Avenue extension

Project is expected to spur economic development

Camas Mayor Scott Higgins (center) is joined by a handful of city, county and state officials during the groundbreaking ceremony for the Northwest 38th Avenue and Southeast 20th Street extension project this afternoon. The $4.8 million project will extend Northwest 38th Avenue approximately two-thirds of a mile west to to 192nd Avenue. Camas Mayor Scott Higgins was joined by city, county and state elected officals, as well as local business representatives during today’s ground breaking ceremony for the 38th Avenue extension project.

“We believe this road will be very signficant to the future economic development of the city,” Higgins said to the crowd that attended the event.
