Due to the Legislature going into a special session today, Sen. Ann Rivers and Rep. Liz have cancelled a town hall meeting, which was scheduled for Saturday, at the Camas Public Library.

Gov. Jay Inslee announced Tuesday lawmakers would be called back to Olympia to pass legislation that would benefit the state’s aerospace industry. Lawmakers were unaware of the governor’s plans until he made the announcement.

Pike said the town hall will be rescheduled.

“We regret that we will be unable to hold our town hall meeting this weekend,” she said. “However, it is still very important that we hear from our local citizens. We’re looking at rescheduling this meeting to another date prior to the 2014 session, which begins in January.”

Rivers may be contacted at her office in Olympia at (360) 786-7634. Pike’s district office phone number in Camas is (360) 210-4117.
