A 320-mile trip from Camas to Auburn and back on a school night didn’t make the Papermakers flinch.
Propelled by a 34-point second quarter, Camas cruised to a 69-24 victory Thursday against Auburn-Mountainview.
Quarterback Reilly Hennessey threw for 256 yards and three touchdowns. James Price took two of his four catches into the end zone. Jorden Payne snagged the other touchdown pass from Hennessey.
Price gained 105 receiving yards. Cole Zarcone added 80 rushing yards and two touchdowns. Brian Kelly ran for two touchdowns and Jordan Del Moral chipped in with a 47-yard touchdown run.
The Papermakers also got work done on defense. Zach Eagle intercepted a pass. Brad Hansen forced a fumble that Adam Dawson recovered. John Ashford and Jason Vailea picked up sacks on the opposing quarterback.
