Costco will host a local author for a book signing event on Saturday, Feb. 15.
Rene Johnston Carroll, of Washougal, is the author of “Legendary Locals of Camas-Washougal.” She will be on hand from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m., at 19610 S.E. First St., in Vancouver.
The book, released by Arcadia Publishing in December, shares the stories of unique individuals and groups, past and present, who have had lasting impacts on the community throughout history.
“I hope this book provides tribute to the amazing people that shaped these communities,” Carroll said.
The book can be purchased at Costco, and at local shops including Runyan’s Jewelers and Lizzabeth A in downtown Camas, and the Two Rivers Heritage Museum in Washougal, and at www.legendarylocals.com.
