An upcoming septic inspection workshop aims to help homeowners save money.
The workshop will be held Tuesday, June 24, from 6 to 9 p.m., at East County Fire and Rescue, 600 N.E. 267th Ave., in Camas. Registration is $15 per person.
By participating in the workshop and taking a short multiple choice test at the end, homeowners can perform their next inspection and file it with Clark County Public Health, rather than calling out a certified operations and maintenance professional.
An inspection demonstration at the workshop will familiarize participants with system components and best practices for performing the inspection.
Co-sponsored by WSU Clark County Extension and Clark County Environmental Service Clean Water Program, the workshop will be presented by experts from Clark County Public Health, who will certify participants to do their own home septic inspections, conduct the inspection demonstration, answer questions and provide advice.
