The Patio, Plant and Garden Fair will open at 9 a.m. on Saturday. The popular event returns to downtown Camas, after being held at Camas High School for the past three years.

The 17th annual Camas Patio, Plant and Garden Fair returns to downtown Camas on Saturday.

The plant fair, which will be held from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m., typically draws thousands of people to explore the selection of plants, trees, garden art and supplies, and more. There will also be kids’ activities, live music and food.

The fair will offer a large assortment of trees, plants, garden art and furniture, planters, veggie starts, wind chimes, garden tools, birdhouses and feeders, pottery, metal art, flowering hanging baskets, garden benches, stone art, sculptures, lavender and herbs.

There will be more than 75 vendors. Returning this year are Lacamas Lavender Farm, Herb Girl, The Clematis Lady, Enchanted Gardens, Arai Nursery, Eastfork Nursery, and many others.

Kids’ activities will include free hands on crafts from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., organized by the Interact Club of Camas High School. There will also be a free petting zoo all day, provided by 4 Seasons 4H and Camas Camp-n-Ranch.

Downtown Camas Association Executive Director Carrie Schulstad said it’s exciting to be organizing this event and bringing it back to the heart of the community. For the past three years it had been held at Camas High School.

“Vendors, merchants, and the community alike are saying how excited they are to have the event back in downtown Camas,” she said. “Being able to stroll leisurely and buy things for your garden and also be able to shop, stop in for coffee or lunch, and to see your neighbors downtown make for the perfect community gathering. A huge thank you goes out to our exceptional volunteers and to the City of Camas for all their efforts in making this a safe and enjoyable event for all. We invite you to come down and make a day of it.”

Boy Scouts will be on hand with wagons to help citizens with their purchases, if needed.

Sponsors of this event include iQ Credit Union, Georgia Pacific, City of Camas, Columbia Litho Printing and Graphics, Reed Creative, Premium Websites, The Columbian, Alpine Mortgage Planning, Columbia Imaging, Hoviss Development Group, and Lizzabeth A Home Decor and Gifts.
