Innovative Services NW is awarded Washougal janitorial services contract

Employees will clean city buildings and park restrooms

A nonprofit program that provides employment for people with disabilities or other disadvantages has been awarded a contract to provide janitorial services in several city of Washougal buildings.

The Washougal City Council has awarded a $45,030 contract to Innovative Services NW, of Vancouver. The city also received a bid for $125,508 from TKO Services LLC, doing business as Queen Clean Janitorial, of Washougal.

The Innovative Services NW Janitorial Services employees will clean City Hall, the Civic Center, police department and social services buildings, as well as the public works executive office, administrative building and operations center. Buildings and restrooms at Hamllik Park, Steamboat Landing, Sandy Swimming Hole and lower and upper Hathaway Park will also be serviced.

The janitorial service currently has 40 customers at 85 facilities, including Kiggins Theatre, Washington State Department of Children and Family Services, the Clark County Sheriff’s Office, Community Center for Health and Clark Regional Emergency Services Agency.
