Making Camas and Washougal destinations of choice in the Northwest is the theme of an upcoming workshop.

Hospitality consultant Dale Blosser will be the guest speaker of the “Five-Star Service Workshop” Tuesday, March 31, at the Best Western Plus Parkersville Inn & Suites, 121 S. Second St., Washougal.

The program will be presented twice that day, from 9 a.m. to noon, and from 1:30 to 4:30 p.m. The cost to attend will be $25 per person. A group rate discount is available, $20 per participant, for three or more people. The $20 rate also applies to people who pay before Sunday, March 1.

The interactive workshop is designed for front-line staff, as well as managers and supervisors. Topics will include why providing superior service is critical to success, the difference between service and hospitality, how to turn first-time guests into loyal regulars, and the top 10 “Wow Factors” and how to perform them.

Blosser is expected to share tips regarding how to make a job fun and create a positive work environment focused on hospitality. He will also show how to create guest interactions that result in memorable moments and build loyalty.

Group activities will include discussions of challenging guest situations, brainstorming, case studies and story telling. Attendees will leave with personal action plans to provide five-star hospitality.

Blosser founded D.C. Blosser & Associates in 1991. The Vancouver company specializes in customer service enhancement through a focus on performance.

The workshop is presented by the Camas-Washougal Chamber of Commerce and sponsored by Best Western Plus Parkersville Inn & Suites.
