Before going to sleep Saturday night, remember to set clocks forward one hour in preparation for the beginning of daylight saving time. The time change officially begins at 2 a.m. Sunday.

One hour will be lost. The sunrise and sunset will be one hour later.

Daylight saving time ends Sunday, Nov. 1.

The current DST schedule follows the Energy Policy Act of 2005. It starts on the second Sunday in March and ends on the first Sunday in November. DST is observed throughout the United States, except for Hawaii and most of Arizona, as well as Puerto Rico, the U.S. Virgin Islands, American Samoa and Guam.
