Interactive musical performance set

Opus School of Music will host an interactive performance for kids at the Camas Public Library, 625 N.E. Fourth Ave.

It will be held at 2 p.m. Monday, Aug. 8, and is part of the library’s Summer Reading Program.

Book swap for kids and teens is Aug. 13

There will be a book swap for kids and teens at the Camas Public Library on Saturday, Aug. 13, from 2 to 4 p.m. Attendees are invited to trade used books, CDs or movies with others, and take as many items as they bring.

The event is part of the Summer Reading Program. The library is located at 625 N.E. Fourth Ave.

Family Fun Fridays begin

Starting on Friday, Aug. 5, Family Fun Fridays will be held from noon to 1 p.m.

Hosted by Camas Parks and Recreation, the lineup is “water carnival,” Aug. 5, “sports spectacular,” Aug. 12, “Circus Skills with Shireen,” Aug. 19 and “The Oregon Reptile Man,” Aug. 26.

All events take place in Crown Park, 120 N.E. 17th Ave.

Washougal Community Education preschool opens

The Washougal School District has opened registration for its preschool program.

A $50, non-refundable deposit is due at time of registration.

Program options include two or four days per week.

Preschool classes are offered at each of the Washougal elementary school sites, which are Hathaway, Gause and Cape Horn-Skye, for children ages 3, and fully potty trained, to age 5.
