The Clark County Public Service Center’s second-floor joint lobby, which provides services for the assessor, auditor and treasurer’s offices, will adjust its walk-in business hours beginning in January.

As of Tuesday, Jan. 3, the new hours will be from 9 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., Monday through Friday. The new hours also will apply to the GIS storefront, adjacent to the joint lobby.

Marriage license applications will be processed from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m., Monday through Friday.

According to a press release, these changes will enable the county to offer the public optimum efficiency and effectiveness within the 2017-2018 budget while providing maximum staffing at the busiest times of day.

Telephone hours for the joint lobby and GIS storefront also will change to mirror the 9 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. walk-in office hours.

Transactions submitted electronically will be processed between 8 a.m. and 5 p.m. In early 2017, GIS will begin to accept online transactions, also processed between 8 a.m. and 5 p.m.

Each year, the joint lobby serves nearly 36,000 in-person customers and another 38,000 telephone customers. A growing number of customers also contact the lobby by email and other online resources.
