Ready to wrestle in the Tacoma Dome

Eleven Washougal and eight Camas wrestlers are ready to tangle with the best in the state at the Tacoma Dome.

The Washougal girls wrestling squad rose to the top of the podium at the regional tournament Saturday, in Aberdeen. Baylee Wright, Morgan Ratcliff, Christina Murray and Abby Lees earned championship medals.

Mialisa Oster and Brooklyn Wurm-Wertz earned third place. Jaden Robb goes to the dome as an alternate.

The Camas boys wrestling team secured third place at the 4A regional meet Saturday, at Camas High School. Rylan Thompson and Dylan Ingram wrestled in the championship round and settled for second place medals. Dominic Delgado, Sam Malychewski and Tanner Howington earned third place, and Jack Latimer and Tanner Craig finished in fourth place. All of these Papermakers are on their way to the dome. Lacy Dunlop joins them after gaining second place in the girls tournament.

The Washougal boys wrestling team earned third place at the 2A regional tournament Saturday, in Shoreline. Seniors AJ Christianson, Taylor Leifsen and Urich Reyes claimed second place medals. Tanner Lees took third place and Dylen Cherry finished in fourth place. All of these Panthers will wrestle in the dome. John Gable is going to state as an alternate.
