Clark County program recognizes efforts to reduce waste

Therapeutic Associates Physical Therapy – Camas has completed all of the requirements necessary to become a Clark County Green Business.

Energy consumption, waste and recycling and community involvement are among the aspects of a business that are examined.

The environmentally friendly business practices include electronic charting and using green cleaning supplies.

The clinic’s director/owner Lindsy Palisca and Front Office Coordinator Jessica Groff plan to further reduce energy consumption this year, use the company’s “Day of Service” to volunteer in the community and spread awareness about what it takes to go green.

Applications are accepted for “Green Business of the Year”

The Clark County Green Business program is accepting applications for the “Green Business of the Year” award.

All businesses operating in Clark County are eligible to apply. The deadline to submit an application is 5 p.m., Friday, Feb. 26.

Applicants should be able to demonstrate their efforts to continually reduce their environmental impact and improve their practices over time.

The award will be presented during the annual Green Business Showcase, Thursday, March 24, from 4 to 7 p.m., at the Fort Vancouver National Historic Site’s recently renovated Artillery Barracks, 600 E. Hatheway Road, Vancouver.
