Longtime Washougal resident has been a financial advisor for 12 years

An experienced financial advisor has taken the helm of the Edward Jones office at 3037 Evergreen Way, Washougal.

Although new to this location, Blaine Peterson is not new to the community. He has helped Camas and Washougal residents work toward achieving their long-term financial goals for the past 12 years.

“It feels like I am coming home,” Peterson said of his move to the Washougal office after having served clients from Vancouver offices.

“I am looking forward to being more available for my local clients, meeting new people to serve and being an even larger part of our community.”

Peterson served on the Washougal School Board from 2007 to 2014. He was also on the board and is a past president of the Washougal Schools Foundation and is active in Rotary and the Camas-Washougal and Vancouver chambers of commerce.

“I entered the financial services industry because I like helping people work toward financial goals,” Peterson said. “Building relationships with my clients and in my community is key.”

To celebrate the move, a community barbecue will be held Saturday, July 30, from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m.

“This will be a great opportunity for friends and clients to see the office where they can find me and for me to meet new people in the community,” Peterson said.

He joins Sarah Yankovich, senior branch office administrator, who has been serving in this role in Washougal for three years and has worked with Edward Jones for eight years.

“I am delighted that Blaine is here and I’m confident our clients will appreciate his years of experience and knowledge of the financial industry,” she said.

Edward Jones, a Fortune 500 company, provides financial services for individual investors in the United States and through its affiliates, in Canada.
