The candidate filing period for 2016 opens Monday.
Candidates can file at the Clark County Elections Office, 1408 Franklin St., Vancouver, from 8 a.m. Monday, May 16 to 5 p.m. Friday, May 20, or online at http://clarkvotes.org from 9 a.m., Monday, May 16 through 4 p.m., Friday, May 20.
The offices open for candidate filings this year include the office of U.S. senator; U.S. representative, Third Congressional District; all state offices; state senator and state representative positions for the 14th, 17th, 18th, 20th and 49th Legislative Districts; three Supreme Court justice positions; Court of Appeals justice position, all 10 Superior Court judge positions; county offices of County Council Districts No. 3 and No. 4; Clark Public Utilities District commissioner for District 2 position; 252 Republican precinct committee officer positions and 252 Democratic precinct committee officer positions.

The Primary Election will be held Aug. 2, followed by the General Election Nov. 8.
