Ballots must be postmarked no later than Nov. 8 to count. There is also a 24-hour drop box located outside the Downtown Camas Post Office, 440 N.E. Fifth Ave.

On Election Day, more than 30 ballot deposit locations throughout Clark County will be open until 8 p.m.

In Washougal, ballots can be delivered to the community center, 1681 “C” St.

As of Wednesday morning, of the 270,787 ballots mailed to registered Clark County voters, 84,723 have been returned.

While the pivotal national presidential election between Republican Donald Trump and Democrat Hillary Clinton has garnered the most interest in this election, there are several state and county election races for voters to consider.

In the Third Congressional District race, incumbent Republican Jaime Herrera Beutler is facing challenger Jim Meuller, a Democrat who currently serves as the state representative for the 49th Legislative District.

Candidates running for 18th District state representative positions include incumbent Liz Pike (R-Camas) and Democrat Kathy Gillespie of Vancouver, and incumbent Brandon Vick (R-Felida) and Democrat Justin Oberg of Salmon Creek. For state senate, incumbent Ann Rivers (R-La Center) is pitted against Democrat Eric Holt of Hockinson.

For Clark County Council, voters in Camas and Washougal will vote for District 4. Candidates include Roman Battan, Democrat, of Camas and Eileen Quiring, Republican, of Vancouver.

The first round of results, which will be posted on the Post-Record’s website at www.camaspostrecord.com, are expected to be released at approximately 8:30 p.m.

Ballots were mailed to voters on Oct. 19. The election results will be certified on Nov. 29.
