Washougal man is honored as Technician of the Year

A local resident recently received a national award for his technical skills.

Joel Wilkerson, of Washougal, was recognized as Technician of the Year, at a Belfor Franchise Group’s annual convention in Las Vegas.

Wilkerson is a technician for 1-800 Water Damage of Portland, a business that provides water, fire and smoke damage emergency restoration services and mold removal. The company also offers home and commercial carpet cleaning and sewage cleanup.

Jim and Pam Chiodo, of Brush Prairie, were also honored by Belfor. They own 1-800 Water Damage of Portland.

In addition to franchisee of the year, the Chiodos were recognized as top producers and members of the millionaire’s club.
