Washougal School District officials have announced that classes at all schools will start two hours late on Tuesday, Jan. 3.

Buses that will be operating on snow routes, in the morning and afternoon, include No. 1, 2, 6, 9, 17, 27, 43 and 44. Ammeter Road is also on snow routes.

In addition, there will be no Skills Center bus, and no morning community education preschool or special education preschool.

In the Camas School District, schools will open according to the regular schedule on Tuesday morning. However, buses traveling in the Livingston Mountain area will be on snow routes.

Snow fell in the area on Saturday and Sunday, with some accumulation in the higher elevation areas. Temperatures have remained chilly, and are not expected to warm up until Saturday. Low temperatures should to be in the teens and low 20s, with high temperatures not exceeding 32 degrees.

In December, inclement weather caused the cancellation of a total of four days of school in Camas and Washougal. Students will make those days up later this year.
