Camas Days’ grand parade day will kick off with a blueberry pancake breakfast, from 7:30 to 11 a.m., Saturday, July 22, at Camas United Methodist Church, 706 N.E. 14th Ave.

Valley View Blueberries, of Vancouver, will donate the fresh blueberries for the pancakes.

The breakfasts, served in the church’s fellowship hall, include blueberry pancakes, scrambled eggs, pork sausages, coffee and juice. The cost is $8 for adults and $4 for children.

Tickets for the breakfast will be available at the door and attendees can pay with cash or debit card. Tickets also may be purchased ahead of time by contacting Camas United Methodist Church Business Administrator Jan Carter at 360-834-2976.

Pancake breakfasts benefit August ‘Movies in the Park’ events

Breakfast proceeds will go to “Movies in the Park,” a series of free-film Fridays, at Crown Park, 120 N.E. 17th Ave., and other outreach ministries of the church.

The family friendly, PG-rated movies are Sing at 8:45 p.m., Aug. 4; Lego Batman Movie at 8:30 p.m., Aug. 11; Wizard of Oz at 8:30 p.m., Aug. 18; and Moana at 8:15 p.m., Aug. 25. Pre-movie activities will start one hour before the movie.

Movie viewers are encouraged to bring chairs and blankets. Snacks will be available to purchase. Dogs are not allowed in Crown Park.
