Former Diva Den owner returns to manage Washougal’s Glo Beauty Lounge

Darlynn Taylor provides microblading, nail and spray tanning services

A woman who splits her time between living in Hawaii and Washougal is overseeing the sales and marketing efforts, as well as management, of Glo Beauty Lounge in downtown Washougal.

Darlynn Taylor, former owner of The Diva Den, also in Washougal, still has family in the Camas-Washougal area.

Her boyfriend, Lance Banaszek, recently purchased Glo Beauty Lounge from company founder Deborah Kirkendall.

Kirkendall opened Glo in 2012, after offering custom facial treatments in the Skin Deep Rejuvenation Spa at Nico Bella, in downtown Camas. She now provides skin care services at her home in the Hockinson area.

Taylor, a 1984 Washougal High School graduate, said Glo Beauty Lounge has a great reputation because of Kirkendall.

“No one wanted Glo to close,” Taylor said.

“It has a five-star reputation on Yelp,” she added. “We want to continue that success and offer more services.”

Microblading, permanent cosmetics, lash extensions and airbrush spray tans are among the new services that are now available.

Taylor describes microblading as a semi-permanent cosmetic procedure, that can restore the appearance of eyebrows and be helpful for alopecia and cancer patients.

The service menu at Glo Beauty Lounge also includes manicures, pedicures, facials and waxing for women and men. Eminence organic skin care products are available to purchase.

The Glo staff includes nail technician Deseree Burrows and estheticians Kodi Robledo, Mary Ma and Angela Cunnings.

To promote its new management and services, Glo is rewarding a few lucky customers with trips to Hawaii. Having already awarded two, one-week stays in Maui this spring and summer, Glo is set to give away one more one-week Maui stay to the person who sends the most referrals to the beauty lounge. Glo will announce that winner’s name on Aug. 1.
