News, News A Northwest native who has performed throughout the United States, and toured in Japan and Europe, will play piano at Fern Prairie United Methodist Church.
John Nilsen will make a guest appearance Sunday, March 19, during the 10 a.m. worship service.
Sharon Carmichael, church treasurer, said Nilsen’s CDs will be available to purchase and donations will be accepted.
“His goal is to play in every Methodist Church in the Portland/Vancouver/Southwest Washington area,” she said. “His dad was a Methodist minister.”
After the church service, attendees will be invited to stay for a potluck lunch.
Fern Prairie United Methodist Church, 26112 N.E. Brunner Road, Camas, was built in 1873. Questions can be directed to Carmichael at 834-5466.
