Jeffrey Oscar Nelson
August 19, 1959 ~ March 25, 2018
58 years old

Jeff was born in Vancouver, and spent most of his life in Clark County, graduating in 1977 from Battle Ground High School.

He worked about 18 years at the Camas paper mill and enjoyed dealing cards at La Center for many years.

Jeff lost his wife, Renny, five years ago. Family left behind are his daughter, Tanya; grandson, Keaton; granddaughter, Shelby; two brothers, Lon and Gil; and his mother, June Nelson, many relatives and friends.

Preceding him in death was his wife, Renny, and father, Pete Nelson.

Jeff would do anything for his friends whether a couch or bed to sleep over if needed or give them his last dollar!

He donated his eyes to the “Lions Vision Gift” and two people have already received them. His body was donated to “Aterntas Life” in Oregon.

By his wishes, there will be no service at this time. We will have a time to remember later, to scatter his and Renny’s ashes together, and share our memories and love of this very special man.

He was loved by many and will be missed and remembered always!

A favorite saying of his to me and others was, “Don’t worry about it. I’ll take care of it.” And he always did. But on the way, he sometimes forgot to take care of himself.

Shannon D. Wickert

Shannon Doreen Wickert died on Thursday, March 22, 2018. She was 53.

Mary Beitey

Mary Beitey died Sunday, April 8, 2018. She was 89. Mary was born Feb. 21, 1929, in Springfield, Iowa. A funeral service will be held on Friday, April 20, at 11 a.m. at Straub’s Funeral Home in Camas. Burial will follow at the Camas Cemetery. A complete obituary will be in next week’s paper.

Ida Lewis

Ida Lewis died on Tuesday, April 10, 2018. She was 89. Ida was born Aug. 26, 1928. Services are pending at this time. Straub’s Funeral Home & Columbia River Cremation in Camas is in charge of the arrangements.

Marion Lindros

Marion Lindros died on Friday, April 6, 2018. She was 99. Marion was born Aug. 29, 1918, in Roseburg, Oregon. Services are pending at this time. Straub’s Funeral Home & Columbia River Cremation in Camas is in charge of the arrangements.
