LIBRARY PROGRAMS

Camas Public Library: Simply Write, a writer’s support group, will meet Thursday, Dec. 13, from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. Read to Cooper, the dog, Tuesdays and Thursdays, from 3:30 to 4:30 p.m. Each reading session is 15 minutes. Page Turners, for fourth through sixth graders and their adult, is the first Tuesday of the month at 6:30 p.m., October through May, at Lacamas Lake Lodge, 277 N.E. Lake Road. Galactic Alliance, for teens in middle and high school, meets at 4:30 p.m. the fourth Monday of each month, from September to April. The Crochet Club meets every Thursday, from 3 to 4:30 p.m., in the teen room. The English Conversation Group meets Tuesdays, from 12:30 to 2 p.m. All ages and skill levels are welcome. Teen Zine Zone meets the first Wednesday of the month, from 4 to 5:30 p.m. Story Explorers meets the second Wednesday of the month at 6:30 p.m., from October through May. Washougal Community Library: Baby and toddler storytime, for children ages 0 to 36 months, will meet from 10:30 to 11:30 a.m., Friday, Dec. 7. SENIOR CITIZENS

Seniors And Law Enforcement Together: The SALT Holiday Senior Social will be Monday, Dec. 10, from 11 a.m. to noon, at 40 et 8 Boxcar Room, 7607 N.E. 26th Ave., Vancouver. There will be light refreshments, desserts, holiday music and visiting with local law enforcement. All Clark County seniors are invited. There is no east side meeting in December.

Meals on Wheels: Lunches, prepared by The Meals on Wheels People, are served at 11:30 a.m., Monday through Thursday, in the Washougal Community Center, at 1681 “C” St., Washougal. Meals on Wheels home delivery is available Monday through Friday. Volunteers are needed. Camas Senior Center: The Camas seniors’ monthly casino trip will be held Monday, Dec. 17, and go to Lucky Eagle Casino in Rochester, Washington. The cost is $5. For reservations or more information, call LaRhea Steele at 360-904-4274.

Washougal Senior Center: The Washougal Senior Center provides coffee from 9 to 11:30 a.m., and Meals on Wheels serves lunch at 11:30 a.m., Monday through Thursday. On Mondays, at 11 a.m., the center hosts a food bank. At 1 p.m. each Monday, there is a “hand and foot” clinic. At 10 a.m., on Mondays and Wednesdays, the center hosts an exercise class, which also is held in Camas at 10 a.m. on Fridays. Billiards is played at 1 p.m., Tuesdays and Thursdays. At 11 a.m. on Tuesdays, the center hosts “Music with Jeffree,” and at 11 a.m. on Thursdays, “Music with Gabe.” The watercolor class is held at 1:30 p.m. on Tuesdays. On Wednesdays, there is an exercise class at 10 a.m., gift bingo at 11 a.m., and regular bingo at 1 p.m. On Thursdays, the tai chi class (held in Camas) begins at 9:30 a.m. The center also hosts pinochle at 1 p.m. on Thursdays.

ART GALLERIES AND MUSEUMS

Second Story Gallery: December’s artist will be Jennifer Neal. She will show mixed media, water colors and acrylics through December and January.
