PAID PRINTED OBITUARY

David Paul Platt
Nov. 2, 1972 ~ Dec. 3, 2018

Jesus called his son, David Paul Platt, home on December 3, 2018. David was born in Anaheim, California, on November 2, 1972, and had called the Pacific Northwest his home for over 30 years.

David was an avid inventor and a master of his craft, with a God-given gift for science. He was an invaluable contributor to Microsoft, Xerox, and Tektronix. With a Bachelor’s in Science from Washington State University, engineering may have paid the bills, but David’s passion was for family, friends, going FAST, his WSU Cougars, and our Lord Jesus Christ.

Family was always on David’s mind and he is survived by his loving wife, Shirley Platt; daughter, Alixandra Platt; son, Tristan Platt; four stepchildren, Benjamin, Abbie, Shelby, and Logan Henry; his brothers, Daniel Platt and Jonathan Schneider; his sisters, Amie Tadla and Crystal Schneider; his loving parents, Mark Platt, Rainy Schneider and Joseph Schneider and a host of loving aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, grandparents and cousins.

A celebration of life will be held at Attrell’s Funeral Chapels, located at 207 Villa Road in Newberg, Oregon, on Thursday, December 13, 2018, at 11 a.m.

Many have asked, “What can we do to help?” Please consider a donation to Suicide Prevention in David’s name: https://suicidepreventionlifeline.org/donate/.
