Elaine Ruth (Mason) Margeson
February 20, 1923 ~ June 2, 2018

Elaine Ruth (Mason) Margeson passed through the gates of heaven on June 2, 2018. She was 95 years old. Elaine was born on February 20, 1923, in White Salmon, Washington. Her parents were Arthur and Blanche Mason.

She lived her life to the fullest with much love for her family and friends. She will be truly missed and remembered for her outgoing personality and kind spirit. She put her heart and soul into everything she did in her life

In 1941, she married Edward Margeson and they resided in the Washougal area. For several years, they ran the restaurant part of the newly built Wagon Wheel Skating Rink in Washougal. After that, she worked many years in the Washougal school cafeterias. Elaine later worked at the Hiway Pharmacy in downtown Camas. Edward preceded her in death on August 15, 1994. In December 1999, she married Larry Clark. Larry preceded her in death on June 25, 2007.

Elaine is survived by a son Edward Margeson Jr. (Jaci), daughter Karen Dade (Bill), and stepsons Bob Clark (Debbie) and Terry Clark. Also, a grandson David Woods, and great-granddaughter Britney Woods. Two great-great-grandchildren Brayden Long and Brooklyn Long. Step-grandchildren Tom Clark (Jessica) and Katie Clark. Step-great-granddaughter Sophia Bledsoe. She was preceded in death by two brothers Orin and Pat Mason, and a sister Esther Wadley.

In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to the West Columbia Gorge Humane Society. Their address is P.O. Box 270 in Washougal, WA 98671.

A celebration of life is planned for a later date. Information on the time and place will be posted in the Post-Record and on Straub’s Funeral Home website.

The family wishes to thank Columbia Ridge staff for their care. She made many good friends there.

Randall ‘Randy’ E. Stencel

Randall “Randy” Eugene Stencel peacefully died Thursday, June 7, 2018, of aggressive pancreatic cancer. He was 63.

Friends and family are invited to join in a celebration of life on Saturday, June 30, from noon to 3 p.m., at the Camas Moose Lodge, 389 E St., Washougal. Donations may be made to West Columbia Gorge Humane Society or Moose Heart for Children in care of the Camas Moose Lodge.

Donald H. Pfaff

Donald Harry Pfaff peacefully died on Thursday, June 7, 2018. He was 76 years old.

Patricia D. Rockwell

Patricia Darlene Rockwell died suddenly and unexpectedly on Thursday, May 31, 2018. She was 73.

There will be no services per her request. Burial will be at the Wauconda Cemetery in Okanogan County, Washington.

Charla ‘Cookie’ J. (Lieb) Keen

Charla “Cookie” Jean (Lieb) Keen died Saturday, May 12, 2018, in her Boise, Idaho, home due to complications from Parkinson’s disease. She was 75.

There will be a joint memorial service for both Charla and Ed on Saturday, August 4, at 11 a.m. at Bethel Community Church, 1438 “B” St., Washougal. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Sole Support for Parkinson’s at http://www.solesupport.org or by calling 800.426.6806.

Harold L. Robertson

Harold Leslie Robertson, of O’Brien, Oregon, died Saturday, June 2, 2018. He was almost 98.

There are no services planned at Harold’s request. He will be missed by those who loved him and enjoyed his wry Scottish sense of humor.

Patricia Richardson

Patricia Richardson died on Tuesday, June 5, 2018. She was 65. Patricia was born June 14, 1952, in The Dalles, Oregon. Services will be held at a later date. Straub’s Funeral Home & Columbia River Cremation in Camas was in charge of the arrangements.

Dorothy Coughlin

Dorothy Coughlin died in her Camas home Monday, June 11, 2018. She was 87. Dorothy was born Feb. 14, 1931, in Halsey, Oregon. A complete obituary will be in next week’s paper. Straub’s Funeral Home & Columbia River Cremation in Camas is in charge of arrangements.
