Several members of the General Federation of Women's Clubs Camas-Washougal Women's Club gathered in the Washougal City Hall lobby, after promoting April as National Child Abuse Prevention month. LIBRARY PROGRAMS

Camas Public Library: For those who love to sew, knit or crochet, the “Sit and Stitch” group will meet by the fireplace from 1 to 5:30 p.m., on Saturdays throughout March. Read to Cooper, the dog, at the library, from 4 to 5 p.m., every Tuesday and Thursday. Each session is 15 minutes long and advanced sign-up is required. Holocaust Studies will be held Fridays, March 30 and April 6, at 1 p.m., and presented by retired Camas High School teacher Hannelore Tweed. Washougal Community Library: The seed library grand opening is Saturday, March 31, from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. The mobile devices lab will be held on Saturday, April 7, and Friday, April 13, from 4 to 5 p.m. The library, located at 1661 “C” St., offers storytimes for toddlers and younger children at 10:30 a.m., every Wednesday and Friday. Second Story Gallery: Second Story Gallery features the photography of Daniel Ionashku through Saturday, March 31. The gallery, located at 625 N.E. SENIOR CITIZENS

Meals on Wheels: Lunches, prepared by The Meals on Wheels People, are served at 11:30 a.m., Monday through Thursday, in the Washougal Community Center, at 1681 “C” St., Washougal. Meals on Wheels home delivery is available Monday through Friday. Volunteers are needed. Camas Senior Center: Camas seniors will visit Bob’s Red Mill in Milwaukie, Oregon, Thursday, March 29, followed by visiting Bob’s Whole Grain Store and Restaurant. The bus will load at Pendleton Woolen Mill in Washougal at 10 a.m. The bus fee is $5, and bring money for lunch and shopping. Call LaRhea Steele at 360-433-6426 for reservations. The Camas seniors have a new casino bus schedule. This year, casino trips alternate between Nisqually Red Wind Casino and Lucky Eagle Casino. Washougal Senior Center: The Washougal Senior Center provides coffee from 9 to 11:30 a.m., and Meals on Wheels serves lunch at 11:30 a.m., Monday through Thursday. On Mondays, at 11 a.m., the center hosts a food bank, and then at 1 p.m., there is a “hand and foot” clinic. At 10 a.m., on Mondays and Wednesdays, the center hosts an exercise class (this class is held in Camas at 10 a.m. on Fridays). Billiards is played at 1 p.m., on Tuesdays and Thursdays. At 11 a.m. on Tuesdays, the center hosts “Music with Jeffree,” and at 11 a.m. on Thursdays, “Music with Gabe.” The watercolor class is held at 1:30 p.m. on Tuesdays. On Wednesdays, there will be an exercise class at 10 a.m., gift bingo at 11 a.m., and regular bingo at 1 p.m. On Thursdays, the tai chi class (held in Camas) begins at 9:30 a.m. The center also hosts pinochle at 1 p.m. on Thursdays.

VOLUNTEERS

Lost and Found Cafe: Meals are served to the community at 6 p.m., each Thursday, at the Zion Lutheran Church social hall, 824 N.E. Fourth Ave., Camas. Volunteer cooks are needed. For more information, call Inter-Faith Treasure House Executive Director Nancy Wilson at 360-834-4181.

Camas Community Education: The Camas Community Education spring class schedule includes Art Van-Go Drawing and Paints, Chefs in Training, day camps, Early Learning classes; a variety of enrichment classes, which include Lego building and engineering, Mad Science, My Dolly and Me dress design and tea, science olympiad; as well as language, safety and sports classes. Imagination Yoga: Imagination Yoga is a nationally recognized yoga program. Erika Levy, a certified Imagination Yoga teacher, introduces kids to yoga through “imaginative associations” through adventure stories such as taking children to the jungle, outer space, swamps and back in time. CLUBS AND GROUPS

Soroptimists International of Camas-Washougal: Soroptimist International of Camas-Washougal meets at noon on the first Friday of each month at Zion Lutheran Church, 824 N.E. Fourth Ave., Camas. The group also meets at 7 p.m., and hosts a speaker, on the third Tuesday of the month, also at Zion Lutheran. The Soroptimists’ mission is to help women and girls.
