Camas City Council: The council will hold a workshop Monday, Nov. 5, at 4:30 p.m., followed by a regular meeting at 7 p.m., in Camas City Hall, 616 N.E. Fourth Ave.

LIBRARY PROGRAMS

Camas Public Library: Thirty Days of Kindness starts Thursday, Nov. 1, and will continue throughout the month of November. To participate, pick up a list at the library or print list from the library’s website, and practice random acts of kindness. Return the list by Wednesday, Dec. 5, for a prize drawing. The Friends and Foundation of the Camas Library book sale is Friday and Saturday, Nov. 2 and 3. The hours are Friday 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. and Saturday 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. All proceeds support the Camas Public Library and it’s programs. A two-hour gratitude coaching workshop for children will be held Nov. 7 and Nov. 14, from 3 to 5 p.m. Gamer League, a program for children to read books and earn games, registration ends Wednesday, Nov. 7, and is for children 13 and younger. Washougal Community Library: NaNoWriMo Come Write-in weekly sessions in November are on Tuesdays, from 6 to 8 p.m., and Saturdays, from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Baby and toddler storytime, for children ages 0 to 36 months, will meet Friday, Nov. 2, from 10:30 to 11:30 a.m. The adult book group is meeting Monday, Nov. 5, from 6 to 7 p.m., at 54?40′ Brewing Company, 3801 S. Truman Road, No. 1, Washougal. This month’s featured book is Man’s Search for Meaning by Viktor Frankl. ART GALLERIES AND MUSEUMS

Second Story Gallery: “Storytime,” now being shown through Nov. 30, is a six-member fiber arts group that takes inspiration from published bestsellers to create art with a bookish bent. The group is made up of artists Linda Reinert, CarolAnne Olson, Hedda Wright, Judith Phelps, Mary Kay Price and Dianne Kane. They also plan multiple activities tied to books and their art over the course of the two-month show, with information available at the Camas Library website. SENIOR CITIZENS

Meals on Wheels: Lunches, prepared by The Meals on Wheels People, are served at 11:30 a.m., Monday through Thursday, in the Washougal Community Center, at 1681 “C” St., Washougal. Meals on Wheels home delivery is available Monday through Friday. Volunteers are needed. Camas Senior Center: A The Camas seniors’ monthly casino trip will be held Monday, Nov. 19, and goes to Nisqually Red Wind casino in Olympia, Washington. The cost is $5. For reservations or more information, call LaRhea Steele at 360-904-4274.

Washougal Senior Center: The Washougal Senior Center provides coffee from 9 to 11:30 a.m., and Meals on Wheels serves lunch at 11:30 a.m., Monday through Thursday. On Mondays, at 11 a.m., the center hosts a food bank. At 1 p.m. each Monday, there is a “hand and foot” clinic. At 10 a.m., on Mondays and Wednesdays, the center hosts an exercise class, which also is held in Camas at 10 a.m. on Fridays. Billiards is played at 1 p.m., Tuesdays and Thursdays. At 11 a.m. on Tuesdays, the center hosts “Music with Jeffree,” and at 11 a.m. on Thursdays, “Music with Gabe.” The watercolor class is held at 1:30 p.m. on Tuesdays. On Wednesdays, there is an exercise class at 10 a.m., gift bingo at 11 a.m., and regular bingo at 1 p.m. On Thursdays, the tai chi class (held in Camas) begins at 9:30 a.m. The center also hosts pinochle at 1 p.m. on Thursdays.

VOLUNTEERS

Lost and Found Cafe: Meals are served to the community at 6 p.m., each Thursday, at the Zion Lutheran Church social hall, 824 N.E. Fourth Ave., Camas. Volunteer cooks are needed. For more information, call Inter-Faith Treasure House Executive Director Nancy Wilson at 360-834-4181.

Jazzercise Camas: Individuals are invited to try Jazzercise at no cost at Virtuosity Performing Arts Studio, 240 N.E. Third Ave., Camas. Friends of Hospice Southwest Washington: The friends are taking orders for poinsettias now through Tuesday, Nov. 13. Knights of Columbus: The organization will be delivering its annual Thanksgiving dinner for seniors, shut-ins and others in need on Thanksgiving day, Nov. 22.
