PUBLIC MEETINGS

Camas School District: The Camas School Board will hold a budget-related workshop Monday, Nov. 26, at 4 p.m., followed by the general meeting at 5:30 p.m., at the Camas School District office, 841 N.E. 22nd Ave., Camas.

Board of Clark County Councilors: The board will hold a public hearing regarding a shoreline master program amendment and 2018 annual review and dockets amending the 20-year growth management comprehensive plan text and map, zone map and county code, Tuesday, Nov. 27, at 10 a.m., in the councilors’ hearing room on the sixth floor of the Public Service Center, 1300 Franklin St., Vancouver.

Washougal School District: The Washougal School Board will meet Tuesday, Nov. 27, at 6:30 p.m., at Hathaway Elementary School, 630 24th St., Washougal.

Friends of the Washougal Library: The Friends will meet Tuesday, Nov. 27, at 6:30 p.m., in the Washougal Community Library, 1661 “C” St., Washougal.

Clark County Board of Health: There will be a public hearing Wednesday, Nov. 28, at 9 a.m., in the councilors’ hearing room on the sixth floor of the Public Service Center, 1300 Franklin St., Vancouver. The board will consider revisions to a county code related to environmental public health fees.

Camas City Council: The council will hold a workshop Monday, Dec. 3, at 4:30 p.m., followed by a regular meeting at 7 p.m., in Camas City Hall, 616 N.E. Fourth Ave.

Washougal City Council: The council will hold a workshop Monday, Dec. 3, at 5 p.m., followed by a regular meeting at 7 p.m., in Washougal City Hall, 1701 “C” St.

LIBRARY PROGRAMS

Camas Public Library: “Thirty Days of Kindness” continues through November. To participate, pick up a list at the library or print the list from the library’s website, and practice random acts of kindness. Return the list by Wednesday, Dec. 5, for a prize drawing. NaNoWriMo Come Write-in meets on the veranda every Monday in November from 5 to 7:45 p.m. The Forever Young Book Group meets the third Thursday of each month from 6 to 7:30 p.m. For more information on this program, visit gamerleague.org/read. Washougal Community Library: NaNoWriMo Come Write-in weekly sessions in November will be held from 6 to 8 p.m., on Tuesdays, and from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m., on Saturdays. Do-it-yourself wreathmaking will occur from 2 to 4 p.m., Saturday, Dec. 1. “Crafternoons” will be held from 2 to 4 p.m., Tuesdays and Thursdays, in December. Jeffree White’s “Rain or Shine” trio winter concert will be held from 4 to 5:30 p.m., Thursday, Dec. 6, in the Washougal Community Center, 1681 “C” St., Washougal. SENIOR CITIZENS

Meals on Wheels: Lunches, prepared by The Meals on Wheels People, are served at 11:30 a.m., Monday through Thursday, in the Washougal Community Center, at 1681 “C” St., Washougal. Meals on Wheels home delivery is available Monday through Friday. Volunteers are needed. Washougal Senior Center: The Washougal Senior Center provides coffee from 9 to 11:30 a.m., and Meals on Wheels serves lunch at 11:30 a.m., Monday through Thursday. On Mondays, at 11 a.m., the center hosts a food bank. At 1 p.m. each Monday, there is a “hand and foot” clinic. At 10 a.m., on Mondays and Wednesdays, the center hosts an exercise class, which also is held in Camas at 10 a.m. on Fridays. Billiards is played at 1 p.m., Tuesdays and Thursdays. At 11 a.m. on Tuesdays, the center hosts “Music with Jeffree,” and at 11 a.m. on Thursdays, “Music with Gabe.” The watercolor class is held at 1:30 p.m. on Tuesdays. On Wednesdays, there is an exercise class at 10 a.m., gift bingo at 11 a.m., and regular bingo at 1 p.m. On Thursdays, the tai chi class (held in Camas) begins at 9:30 a.m. The center also hosts pinochle at 1 p.m. on Thursdays.

ART GALLERIES AND MUSEUMS

Second Story Gallery: “Storytime,” an art show by a six-member fiber arts group that takes inspiration from published bestsellers, is showing through Nov. 30. The Storytime artists are Linda Reinert, CarolAnne Olson, Hedda Wright, Judith Phelps, Mary Kay Price and Dianne Kane. They also have multiple activities tied to books and their art over the course of the two-month show, with information available at the Camas Library website. CLUBS AND GROUPS

Soroptimists International of Camas-Washougal: Soroptimist International of Camas-Washougal meets at noon on the first Friday of each month at Zion Lutheran Church, 824 N.E. Fourth Ave., Camas. The group also meets at 7 p.m., on the third Tuesday of the month, also at Zion Lutheran. The Tuesday evening meeting features guest speakers. The Soroptimists’ mission is to help women and girls.
