Washougal police are investigating a Sunday night hit-and-run crash that sent a man to the hospital in serious condition.
The man was crossing Washougal River Road in the 500 block when a vehicle struck him, said Ron Mitchell, chief of the Washougal Police Department. He was in the middle of the road, Mitchell said.
A suspect vehicle was located, but officers have not made any arrests.
A traffic investigator is actively working on the case, according to the chief.
