Construction crews work at the former Camas swimming pool site at Crown Park on April 22. Camas City Administrator Pete Capell said the site should be filled in and covered by grass by summer. City leaders have tabled a proposal to install a water feature on the former pool site.

Camas-Washougal Economic Development Association: The CWEDA board will meet Thursday, April 25, at 5:30 pm., in the Port of Camas-Washougal office, 24 S. “A” St., Washougal.

CLASS REUNIONS

Washougal High School Class of 1999: The class will hold its 20-year reunion June 21-23. Events include a meet and greet on Friday, a reunion dinner on Saturday and a family picnic on Sunday. SENIOR CITIZENS

Meals on Wheels: Lunches, prepared by The Meals on Wheels People, are served at 11:30 a.m., Monday through Thursday, in the Washougal Community Center, at 1681 “C” St., Washougal. Meals on Wheels home delivery is available Monday through Friday. Volunteers are needed. Camas Senior Center: The Camas seniors’ monthly casino trip will be held Monday, May 20. The seniors will go to Nisqually Red Wind Casino in Olympia, Washington. The cost is $5. For reservations or more information, call LaRhea Steele at 360-904-4274.

Washougal Senior Center: Meals on Wheels provides coffee from 10 to 11:30 a.m., and serves lunch at 11:30 a.m., Monday through Thursday. The center hosts a food bank at 11 a.m., Mondays. Activities offered during the week include: cribbage, bingo, bunco, pinochle, billiards, watercolor painting and exercise classes. A breakfast fundraiser, to support Washougal Community Center activities, is held on the last Friday of each month (except November and December) from 7:30 to 10:30 a.m. The cost is $5. A potluck is held on the first Friday of each month. Refuel Friday, sponsored by local churches and nonprofits, is offered from 4 to 6 p.m. every Friday. VOLUNTEERS

ART GALLERIES AND MUSEUMS

Second Story Gallery: For the month of April, the photography of Dale Larson will be featured. Beginning in May, the oils and acrylics of Mary Chant will be on display. The gallery, located on the second floor of the Camas Public Library, is open during library hours: 10 a.m. to 8 p.m., Monday through Wednesday, and 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Thursday through Saturday. Camas Gallery: Until April 30, Randy Cole is the featured artist. For the month of May, Performing Paintbrushes will feature the works of Heidi Jo Curley and Anna Norris. Art at the CAVE Gallery: The gallery is featuring the work of Chuck Moffitt. The Fantasmagorical Journey of Rainbow Giraffe will be featured beginning May 3. Art on the Boulevard: Until May 31, “Four Seasons” will be featured. This is a group show from four artists who work in different mediums and their work focuses on the Four Seasons. CLUBS AND GROUPS

Clark-Skamania Flyfishers: The 23rd annual beginning fly-fishing school will be held Saturday, April 27. Check-in is at 8:45 a.m., and the class begins at 9:10 a.m. and ends at 4:30 p.m. Cost is $50 and includes coffee, doughnuts, lunch, drinks, a beginning fly-fishing manual, and handouts. Watercolorists group: The watercolor group meets every Tuesday from 1:30 to 3 p.m., at the Washougal Community Center, 1681 “C” St. This is not an instructed class, however, there is a group critique at the end of the session. All are welcome.
