Carolyn Irene Pillette
October 27, 1963 ~ December 12, 2018

Carolyn Irene Pillette — A much loved daughter, sister, aunt, partner, and friend — passed away peacefully on December 12, 2018, at the age of 55. She had bravely confronted and fought cancer and now rests pain free with her dad and mom, Jim and Dorothy.

Carolyn was born on October 27, 1963, in Spokane, Washington, and resided in Ketchikan, Alaska, with her partner, Colleen Coggins, for the past 12 years. She graduated from Camas High School in 1982 and subsequently earned her certification in Phlebotomy.

Carolyn was a born nurturer which started during high school as her being a lifeguard at the Camas Community Pool, then as a full-time nanny in Trenton, New Jersey, for two doctors and their two children, she then was a certified phlebotomist at The Vancouver Clinic, and eventually caregiver for her mother who sadly passed away from her battle with COPD.

Carolyn loved to laugh, have fun and make people smile. She had a light-filled, wonderful soul and it showed through her daily endeavors. She is terribly missed.

A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, January 26, at The Salud Event Center from 1:00 – 3:00 p.m. (224 NE 3rd Avenue, in Camas).

Please come and visit with family, friends, and share stories.

Dale was born in Camas and worked at the paper mill for 42 years. He and his wife Barb were married for 63 years. Dale was 84.

He loved life, but family always came first. Dale was a great husband, father, and grandfather. He never missed a baseball game that Terry was in or a school dance or musical that Suzanne participated in. Dale was especially excited to jump on our Harley and ride 1000 miles or more every summer.

Dale leaves behind his wife, Barb Hermann; his son, Terry Hermann (and wife Karen); his daughter, Suzanne Hermann Lent (and husband Guy); his sister, Betty Hedges (and husband Mike); and sons, Jeff Hedges and Jason Hedges; and grandkids, Brittney Hermann, Casey Ingle, Adam Head, and four great-grandkids.

There are many family members that live in North and South Dakota, cousins, aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews. All contributions may be made to Pancreatic Cancer Research. Go Seahawks!
