PUBLIC MEETINGS

Camas-Washougal Economic Development Association: The CWEDA board will meet at 5:30 p.m., Thursday, May 23, in the Port of Camas-Washougal office, 24 S. “A” St., Washougal.

Washougal City Council: The council will hold a workshop at 5 p.m., Tuesday, May 28, followed by a regular meeting at 7 p.m., at Washougal City Hall, 1701 “C” St.

Camas School District: The board will meet at 5:30 p.m., Tuesday, May 28, at the Camas School District office, 841 N.E. 22nd Ave.

Washougal School District: The board will meet at 6:30 p.m., Tuesday, May 28, at the district office, 4855 Evergreen Way, Washougal.

LIBRARY PROGRAMS

Camas Public Library: Preschool Storytime will be held at 10:30 and 11:30 a.m., Friday, May 24, and Tuesday, May 28. The English Conversation Group will meet at 12:30 p.m., Tuesday, May 28. Mindfulness Workshop will be held at 2 p.m., Wednesday, May 29. Tiny Tots Storytime will be held at 9:30, 10:30 and 11:30 a.m., Wednesday, May 29. Baby Storytime will be held at 10:30 and 11:30 a.m., Thursday, May 30. The crochet club will meet from 3:30 to 5 p.m., Thursday, May 30, in the teen room. Washougal Community Library: Baby and toddler storytime, for children ages birth to 36 months, will meet from 10:30 to 11:30 a.m., Friday, May 24. Friday games will be held from 2 to 4 p.m. on May 24. Gardening series: Growing Vegetables in Your Hellstrip will be held from 2 to 3 p.m., Saturday, May 25. Preschool story, for children ages 3 to 6, will be held from 10:30 to 11:30 a.m., Wednesday, May 29. Build It! will meet from 3 to 4 p.m., Wednesday, May 29. SENIOR CITIZENS

Meals on Wheels: Lunches, prepared by The Meals on Wheels People, are served at 11:30 a.m., Monday through Thursday, in the Washougal Community Center, at 1681 “C” St., Washougal. Meals on Wheels home delivery is available Monday through Friday. Volunteers are needed. Camas Senior Center: The Camas seniors’ monthly casino trip will be held Monday, June 17. The seniors will travel to Lucky Eagle casino in Rochester, Washington. The cost is $5. For reservations or more information, call LaRhea Steele at 360-904-4274.

Washougal Senior Center: Meals on Wheels provides coffee from 10 to 11:30 a.m., and serves lunch at 11:30 a.m., Monday through Thursday. The center hosts a food bank at 11 a.m., Mondays. Activities offered during the week include: cribbage, bingo, bunco, pinochle, billiards, watercolor painting and exercise classes. A breakfast fundraiser, to support Washougal Community Center activities, is held on the last Friday of each month (except November and December) from 7:30 to 10:30 a.m. The cost is $5. A potluck is held on the first Friday of each month. Refuel Friday, sponsored by local churches and nonprofits, is offered from 4 to 6 p.m. every Friday. CLASS REUNIONS

Washougal High School Class of 1999: The class will hold its 20-year reunion Friday, June 21 through Sunday, June 23. Events include a meet-and-greet event on Friday, a reunion dinner on Saturday and a family picnic on Sunday. The committee is looking for members who do not have social media or do not check social media very often. VOLUNTEERS

Lost and Found Cafe: Meals are served to the community at 6 p.m., each Thursday, at the Zion Lutheran Church social hall, 824 N.E. Fourth Ave., Camas. Volunteer cooks are needed. For more information, call Inter-Faith Treasure House Executive Director Nancy Wilson at 360-834-4181.

ART GALLERIES AND MUSEUMS

Second Story Gallery: “Big Skies and Small Wonders” will be presented through May 25, in the gallery, located on the second floor of the Camas Public Library. The dual show features expansive landscapes that form a background for three-dimensional floral stems made of polymer clay. Marilyn Slaby is the sculptor of lifelike blooms, and Mary Chant is the painter of clouds piling up on her horizons. The exhibit is on display during regular library hours, 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. Monday through Wednesday, and 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Thursday through Saturday, at 625 N.E. Fourth Ave., Camas. MISCELLANEOUS

Artist Trust: The trust brings “Art Business School Night: Applying for Grants, Residencies and Other Opportunities” from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. on Thursdays: May 30 through July 11, at Covington House, 4201 Main St., Vancouver. The instructor is Dorothy Bocian, of IDIOM Arts Business Consulting. Cost is $150, or $120 for Artist Trust members. Riverside Pathfinder Club: The club will host its “Riverside Dog Days 2019” event from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m., Sunday, June 2, at Riverside Seventh-day Adventist Church, 463 N. Shepherd Road, Washougal. Workshops will be given by dog show judge Don James. The event is free to attend. The cost to enter the show is $5 per class or $8 for a workshop/class combination. Friends of the Washougal Library: The friends will meet from 6:30 to 7:30 p.m., Tuesday, May 28, at Washougal Community Library, 1661 “C” St.Women Supporting Women: A support group for women ages 55 and older will meet from 1:30 to 3 p.m., Wednesdays, at Firstenburg Community Center, 700 N.E. 136th Ave., Vancouver. Led by Sandra Soleberg, this is a safe place for women to share hopes, dreams, fears, losses, living with illness, aging and loneliness. Watercolorists group: The watercolor group meets from 1:30 to 3 p.m. on Tuesdays, at the Washougal Community Center, 1681 “C” St. This is not an instructed class, but there is a group critique at the end of the session. All are welcome.
