In an effort to ensure community members have free access to and from ballot drop locations, to deter potential voter intimidation and/or tampering with the ballot boxes, and to provide safety for the election officials collecting the ballots, the Vancouver Police Department will be conducting enhanced patrols around authorized ballot boxes throughout Vancouver through Nov. 3. Officers will also be looking for any non-authorized ballot boxes.

Vancouver Police will not be touching or handling ballots and will notify a Clark County election official if a ballot box appears to not be secure.

Any incidents of voter intimidation or ballot box tampering should be reported by calling 311.
