A Washougal woman was killed in a vehicle crash on Highway 14 on Tuesday, Nov. 29.

According to the Washington State Patrol (WSP), a vehicle driven by 31-year-old Vincent Carnera of Washougal was headed east on state Route 14 (Highway 14) near milepost 21, on Nov. 29, when it crossed the center lane and collided with a westbound vehicle driven by Thomas Shafer, 61.

A passenger in the Shafer’s vehicle, 73-year-old Mary Schafer, of Washougal, was taken to PeaceHealth Southwest in Vancouver, where she succumbed to her injuries. Thomas Schafer also was transported to PeaceHealth Southwest to be treated for his injuries.
