Clark County Historical Museum’s 2022 Speaker Series continues with “(Her)Story: Rebel Women of Clark County,” presented by April Buzby, at 7 p.m. Thursday, March 3, at the historical museum, 1511 Main St., Vancouver.

The CCHM Speaker Series is sponsored by the Clark County Historic Preservation Commission and Versa Events. Tickets cost $5 for general admission; $4 for seniors and students; 3 for children younger than 18; and are free for CCHM members, veterans and active-duty military personnel.

Attendees are encouraged to arrive early, as seating is limited. Doors will open at 5 p.m. on March 3. CCHM requires proof of COVID-19 vaccination for all events.

Buzby will tell the stories of Elizabeth Jane Herrington Irwin and Mary Ellen Bates, two extraordinary women who served during the first and second World Wars.

“There are so many amazing women that have left behind their mark on this community and only a handful are really ever talked about,” Buzby said in a news release. “Even those women we all feel we know have become more myth than a true representation of who they were. It is my hope that this project provides an opportunity for Clark County to meet these women as they truly were.”
