Team Honda HRC rider and championship point leader Jett Lawrence won the race for his seventh victory of the season. "I just got lucky on that one," he said in a news release. "I didn't quite have that pace, so I just focused on trying to get a flow. I just kept an eye on Hunter (Lawrence) at that point. It's nice to get another win, but I definitely wasn't at my best today." (Contributed photo courtesy of Align Media)

The 450 class race at the 2022 Lucas Oil Pro Motocross Championship's 2022 Washougal National event, held Saturday, July 23 at Washougal Motocross Park, came down to the two top racers of the season as Team Honda HRC's Chase Sexton (center) edged out Monster Energy Star Yamaha Racing's Eli Tomac (left) via tiebreaker for his second victory of the season. "That was a really good moto for me," Sexton said in a news release. "Eli was on me, but I kept fending him off. I finally got away and brought it home. It means a lot to me to win like that, and I'm really looking forward to these last four races. I couldn't be more happy to battle (for the championship) with a guy like Eli."
