The Community Foundation for Southwest Washington opened public nominations for its Philanthropist of the Year and Community Champion awards.

The deadline for submissions is 5 p.m. Monday, April 3. More information and an online nomination form are available at cfsww.org/awards.

In 2022, the Community Foundation recognized Ron and Terry Prill as Philanthropists of the Year, an award that celebrates individuals, couples, families or foundations who serve as exemplars of generosity through their outstanding charitable leadership and support. Geri Hiller received its Community Champion Award, which honors individuals or organizations that are deeply engaged in communities, addressing our region’s most pressing issues in order to improve the quality of life for all southwest Washington residents.

The Community Foundation welcomes all applicants and aims to reflect and honor the many ways that people are caring for and contributing to their communities in southwest Washington. These honors are part of the Southwest Washington Philanthropy Awards lineup, which is presented each year during the grantmaking organization’s annual luncheon. This year’s event will take place from noon to 1:30 p.m. Tuesday, June 6, at the Hilton hotel in Vancouver. Tickets will be available for purchase online beginning Friday, March 31, online at cfsww.org.

Established in 1984, the Community Foundation builds a thriving southwest Washington by connecting and supporting passionate people, critical resources and transformational ideas. The Foundation holds more than 380 charitable funds, which are actively invested to generate growth and income for granting purposes. Governed by an esteemed, volunteer Board of Directors, the Community Foundation offers benefits and services to donors, nonprofits and the community at large. Learn more online at cfsww.org.
