Washougal resident Levi Kitchen earned a “triple crown” victory at the fourth Monster Energy Supercross race of the 2024 season on Saturday, Jan. 27, in Anaheim, California, taking first place in the first 250-class race, second place in the second race, and third place in the third race

Kitchen is tied for first place in the circuit’s 250-class standings with 84 points. He has finished in the top five of all four races so far this season.

In October 2023, Kitchen announced his intentions to leave Monster Energy Yamaha Star Racing, which he joined in 2020 after turning professional, and join Monster Energy Pro Circuit Kawasaki.

“I just needed a change,” Kitchen said on a PulpMX Show podcast in late 2023. “I wanted to try something new and focus a little more on myself as far as the training aspect goes, and just get a little more freedom, which (Kawasaki owner) Mitch (Payton) was super down with. As long as I put in the results for him, he pretty much said I can do whatever I needed to do.”
