Correction

Washington state allows class 1 and class 3 pedal-assist electric bicycles to operate on non-motorized, single-track, natural surface trails that allow conventional bicycles. The state does not allow e-bikes to operate on non-motorized, natural surface trails meant for hiking only. A story on e-bikes published July 31 on page A1 contained incorrect information about the state’s e-bike limitations.
